December 9, 2005-INDEX CASE part ways with drummer & announce temporary replacement:

"After seven years as a founding member of the band, Jordan Spence has been asked to leave Index Case. Being in a band on the road can truly test the limits of people's relationships. We love Jordan like a brother, but there came a point where we had to set our friendship aside and look at what was going to be best for our band. Our personal relationships had been pushed to their limits, which unfortunately became evident both on and off the stage. This is not the result of one isolated incident, but rather many throughout the band's seven years. After much deliberation and consideration, it was decided that in order for the band to achieve what it has set out to achieve in the long run, it had become necessary to ask Jordan to leave."

"The band will continue without Jordan, working harder than it ever has before. We realize, as many of you do as well, that Jordan's shoes are big ones to fill, he is an incredible drummer and it will not be easy to find a suitable replacement. With that said, we've turned to a great friend, who is also one of the best drummers that we know, to immediately bring resolve to this situation."

"Ryan Berrier of Destrophy, who as many of you know is an amazing drummer who brings an incredible work ethic and live show to the table, has graciously offered his services on drums for all of Index Case's touring plans until we acquire a permanent replacement. Having said that, we still plan on playing the last three dates of the American Head Charge tour in the Midwest on December 8-10. There will also be some select Midwest dates announced soon, and watch for big touring plans beginning in the New Year."

"Index Case would like to thank our families, friends, and fans for sticking with us and giving us their support through this difficult period. We wish Jordan the best in all his future endeavors, and he will be greatly missed. We are confident that this decision was ultimately made for the best and that the band will be unstoppable as we head into the years to come."

"We're very sorry to all of those who were planning on coming out to see us on your with American Headcharge, Diecast & Bleed The Sky. Unfortunately, circumstances beyond our control led to the cancelling of two weeks of confirmed tour dates. But having said that, we look forward to joining our good friends in American Headcharge to play the remaining three dates of the tour on December 8th, 9th & 10th. We'll also be announcing a Midwest mini headlining tour just around the corner, in which we'll be re-visiting some of the cities where shows were cancelled. So stay tuned, and check our website often for tour updates. And as always...thanks again to every single IC fan for continuing to be there for us...on and off the road. Just know that we can all feel the momentum ramping up, and it's all because of you. So again...thank you, and we'll see all of you on the road again very soon!"
